Abstract

This article aims to analyze the changes in the conceptions of work and productivity, with an emphasis on the effects resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, based on a bibliographic review with a theoretical-interpretative focus. To this end, a bibliographic review was carried out that covers classic authors of the sociology of work, in addition to contemporary studies that investigate the impact of the pandemic on labor relations. The analysis shows that the pandemic has accelerated several changes in the dynamics of work, including the expansion of teleworking, the intensified use of digital technologies and the flexibilization of working hours. In addition, it discusses contradictions associated with this process, such as the increase in pressure on workers, the challenges to mental health and the difficulties in distinguishing between personal and professional life. The study demonstrates that the concept of productivity, traditionally linked to efficiency and the economic value of the worker, has undergone a reinterpretation in light of these new parameters. These transformations represent a turning point in the labor scenario, requiring updates to both theoretical aspects and public policies related to the topic.
