Decent work: some promotion possibilities

Decent work is conceptualized by the International Labor Organization (ILO) as work that offers equal opportunity and access to work for the population, in the quest to overcome poverty and sustainable development. It is a topic belonging to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG8, which proposes decent employment and economic growth. This paper aims to present research that demonstrates the promotion of decent work. The methodology used was an integrative literature review based on the analysis of research data that address the promotion of Decent Work. The database used was SCOPUS, with the descriptors: work AND decent and promotion, socialized between the years 2020 and 2023. Thirteen articles were identified and nine were selected because they met the inclusion criteria. It was possible to verify that it is still necessary to discuss the promotion of decent work, as well as to find ways to guarantee the dignity of people in the workplace, enhancing their appreciation, thus contributing to the promotion of mental health.
